چکیده

Abstract A novel and sustainable tandem‐catalysis system for asymmetric synthesis is disclosed, which fabricated by bio‐inspired self‐assembly of artificial arthropod exoskeletons (AAE s) or fungi cell walls ( AFCW containing two different types catalysts (enzyme metal nanoparticles). The heterogeneous integrated enzyme/metal nanoparticle AAE / systems, contain chitosan as the main structural component, co‐catalyze dynamic kinetic resolution primary amines via a tandem racemization/enantioselective amidation reaction process to give corresponding amides in high yields excellent ee. systems display successful synergistic catalysis at surfaces since they can catalyze multiple cycles without leaching. use natural‐based biocompatible components makes fully biodegradable renewable, thus fulfilling important green chemistry requirements.

Highly Enantioselective Cascade Transformations by Merging Heterogeneous Transition Metal Catalysis with Asymmetric Aminocatalysis

The concept of combining heterogeneous transition metal and amine catalysis for enantioselective cascade reactions has not yet been realized. This is of great advantage since it would allow for the recycling of expensive and non-environmentally friendly transition metals. We disclose that the use of a heterogeneous Pd-catalyst in combination with a simple chiral amine co-catalyst allows for hig...

Homochiral metal-organic frameworks for heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis.

Homochiral crystallizations of two enantiomeric metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) Ce-MDIP1 and Ce-MDIP2 were achieved by using L- or D-BCIP as chiral inductions, respectively, where the chiralities were characterized by solid state CD spectra. Ce-MDIPs exhibit excellent catalytic activity and high enantioselectivity for the asymmetric cyanosilylation of aromatic aldehydes; the homochiral Cd-TBT M...

Heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis*

Examples of enantioselective catalysts, including homogeneous supported catalysts and biphasic liquid/liquid, are described and compared. In the case of asymmetric hydride transfer, polythiourea was proven to be more efficient for ruthenium-catalyzed reduction of aryl ketones, although the iridium complexes gave rise to higher ee when using amino sulfonamide bound to a polystyrene matrix. In th...

Tandem rhodium catalysis: exploiting sulfoxides for asymmetric transition-metal catalysis.

Sulfoxides are uncommon substrates for transition-metal catalysis due to their propensity to inhibit catalyst turnover. In a collaborative effort with Ken Houk, we developed the first dynamic kinetic resolution (DKR) of allylic sulfoxides using asymmetric rhodium-catalyzed hydrogenation. A detailed mechanistic analysis of this transformation using both experimental and theoretical methods revea...

"Click" post-synthetic modification of metal-organic frameworks with chiral functional adduct for heterogeneous asymmetric catalysis.

Two enantiomeric Zn-MOFs, having l- or d-proline chiral functionality, were achieved through in situ click reactions by modifying two opposite chiral adducts within the same pre-assembled achiral MOFs, respectively. Both of them exhibited remarkable catalytic activities in the relative asymmetric aldol reactions, and led to the formation of opposite enantiomorphs. The significant advantage of t...
